packslip install

• Usage: packslip install [FLAGS] <PROJECT>

Install an authenticated upstream release and export its declared commands

Keeps the complete installation tree. Does not run downloaded code, install dependencies, or edit shell configuration. Use –system for a shared install.

Arguments

• <PROJECT> — Project name (owner/repo, github.com/owner/repo[/subpath], or host[/path])

Flags

• --version <VERSION> — Version, prefix, tag, or latest (the default)

• --system — Install for all users; Unix root uses this scope by default

• --user — Explicitly select the current user’s installation scope

• --force — Replace conflicting command entries and unmarked installation directories

• --offline — Use only locally cached, authenticated metadata and artifacts

• --install-dir <INSTALL_DIR> — Override the installation tree without moving trust state

• --bin-dir <BIN_DIR> — Override the command directory without moving trust state

• --variant <VARIANT> — Select a publisher’s named variant

• --pin <PIN> — Allowed signer fingerprint (repeatable, alternatives within this option)

• --pubkey <PUBKEY> — Ed25519 public key or path to its public-key file

• --issuer <ISSUER> — Require this OIDC issuer as well as the project’s default identity

• --identity <IDENTITY> — Require this exact certificate identity

• --identity-prefix <IDENTITY_PREFIX> — Require this certificate identity prefix

• --accept-trust-change <ACCEPT_TRUST_CHANGE> — Approve one exact displayed trust-change proposal (repeatable)

• --trusted-root <TRUSTED_ROOT> — Administrator-supplied Sigstore trusted_root.json instead of TUF refresh

• --allow-unlogged — Accept signatures without transparency-log entries for this attempt

• --allow-incompatible-host — Accept the selected artifact’s incompatible host requirements

• --max-extracted-size <MAX_EXTRACTED_SIZE> — Local maximum expanded archive size in bytes

  Default: 10737418240

• --max-archive-entries <MAX_ARCHIVE_ENTRIES> — Local maximum archive entry count

  Default: 100000
